First Nations Support (FNS) is a First Nations-led service provider delivering culturally safe supports across NDIS, Child Safety and Youth Justice in Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region. We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our team and make a genuine difference in the lives of the participants and families we work with.

About the Role

You’ll provide one-on-one NDIS support tailored to each participant’s goals, including community access, daily living skills, social and recreational participation, and capacity building. Shifts can vary and may include weekends.

What You’ll Be Doing

– Supporting participants with community access and social participation

– Assisting with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, transport, etc.)

– Supporting participants to work towards their NDIS goals

– Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support

– Accurate shift notes and progress reporting in line with NDIS requirements

– Working collaboratively with support coordinators, plan managers and families

What We’re Looking For

– Experience in disability support or a related field (desirable but not essential)

– Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

– NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

– Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

– A person-centred, strengths-based approach to support
