About the role
FGI Mining is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Technical Services Field Technician for a site-based position in Northwest QLD. The role will support the Quality Manager with sample collection, preparation and testing requirements, ensuring samples are collected accurately and in accordance with industry standards and established procedures.
This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while contributing to the wider FGI Mining team.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Quality Manager with sample collection and preparation for testing
- Accurately collect samples in accordance with industry standards and established procedures
- Work independently to complete sampling activities
- Assist in developing sampling programs and procedures
- Support sample testing, assay processes and data interpretation
- Maintain accurate sample records and documentation
- Assist with quality control and compliance requirements
- Work collaboratively with FGI staff, contractors and technical services personnel
