About the Role

We are looking for a Farm Hand to join our farm team on a casual basis. This is a hands-on outdoor role where you will help maintain our eucalyptus plantations, seed orchards and farm properties while supporting a range of farming operations.

No two days are the same, with work ranging from irrigation and property maintenance through to operating farm machinery and supporting seasonal activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and has a strong mechanical and problem-solving mindset.

What You Will Be Doing

• Maintaining and operating irrigation systems
• Watering, staking, mulching and protecting seedlings
• Mowing, slashing and general orchard maintenance
• Weed, pest and insect control activities
• Carrying out fencing repairs and general property maintenance
• Assisting with ground preparation and spraying activities
• Supporting sheep agistment and farm management activities as required
• Operating tractors and other farm machinery safely and effectively
• Completing basic repairs and maintenance on farm equipment and infrastructure
• Assisting harvest, haulage and distillery teams during peak periods or staff absences

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience working in a farm, agricultural, horticultural or similar outdoor environment
• Practical hands-on skills and the ability to troubleshoot and carry out basic repairs
• Experience operating farm machinery such as tractors and other agricultural equipment
• Experience with weed management, spraying or vegetation control activities
• The ability to work independently and manage your workload with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to getting the job done
• The ability to perform manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• A flexible attitude and willingness to assist across different farming operations as needed
