Entec’s instrumentation and electrical business is growing at a stellar pace. The size of our team has doubled in the last few years, but our workload is growing even faster. We are looking for an experienced technician for onsite and workshop calibration work within our large I&E business.
This role would best suit technicians with instrumentation, calibration, or Technical Quality Management experience.

The job we have on offer.
We are looking for an experienced Calibration Technician.
This role will be based out of our Taupo facility and may offer opportunity to work away at sites across the North Island.
As a Calibration technician you will need to demonstrate excellent workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail in both your hands-on work and your documentation, with a high regard for safe working practices.
You will also need to have initiative and the ability to self-manage your work.
As Entec runs a large apprentice programme your participation in training and mentoring is an expectation. To be considered for this role you would need to hold or demonstrate:
- Working rights in New Zealand
- Recognised Industry qualifications in instrumentation, calibration or related field along with NCEA Level 3 with Calculus and Statistics would be preferred.
- A minimum of two years’ relevant laboratory calibration or instrumentation experience.
- ·Experience calibrating process instrument (pressure, temperature, level, flow, etc.)
- ·The ability to interpret schematic drawings and understand and manage technical documentation.
- ·Good understanding with IANZ accreditation, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO 15189 systems will be an advantage
- ·The ability to problem solve.
- ·Focus and attention to detail
- ·Effective communication at all levels.
- ·The ability to help create and work to production and calibration schedules.

Remuneration will be by way of competitive hourly rate dependant on qualifications, relevant experience, and any other skills you can bring to the business. Penal rates and other allowances are also paid. The standard working week will be 40 hours, with potential for overtime to be
worked as well.
