Together with our major partners Microsoft, Telstra, Fortinet and Cisco Meraki, our focus is on providing a full range of ICT solutions and services to a wide range of organisations within the medium business, enterprise and government sectors.
We are seeking a Business Development Executive with a strong technical background to drive new customer acquisition for our cyber-first Managed Services offering. This candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base by leveraging their sales expertise, technical knowledge, cybersecurity focus, and ability to communicate the value of outsourcing to deliver secure, value-driven IT solutions.
The ideal candidate must possess the following key attributes:
• Proven Sales Experience: 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in an MSP, or related technology organisation, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of modern workplace environments, IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity and device management.
• Communication Skills: Ability to discuss technical concepts with confidence during client conversations with the ability to articulate the value of Microsoft 365 products and services.
• Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target businesses with 100 to 500 users in Southeast Queensland, using market research, networking, and referrals to build a strong pipeline.
• Value of Outsourcing: Ability to clearly articulate the benefits of outsourcing IT services, including alignment with the business strategy, to convince prospects of the strategic advantages of partnering with our MSP.
• Cybersecurity Expertise: Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles and the ability to articulate the value of cyber-first managed services, including compliance with frameworks like ASD Essential 8 and zero trust to build client trust.
• Market Focus: Experience or familiarity with the Australian market in selling ICT End-To-End Managed Service
• Self-Motivated: Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently in a competitive market.
• Negotiation & Closing Skills: Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with client needs and company objectives.
• Desirable: Relevant related certifications such as Microsoft and knowledge of ASD Essential 8/zero trust frameworks.
