Our newest site is 12 months old. Now it needs someone to lead the program staff.

Emu Gully Tamborine opened its gates a year ago. Since then we’ve had plenty of participants through the door and more to come in 2027.  We are growing fast, and we need an experienced outdoor leader to manage the program staff and build this site from the ground up.

Who we are

Emu Gully Adventure Education is a not-for-profit with one mission: Shaping Great Australians. We run outdoor education programs for schools across our Helidon and Tamborine sites. Every program we run is about character, resilience and teamwork, and we want every participant to have the Best Camp Ever.

Program Management Role

  • Administrative tasks. Create and manage rosters and planners and HR and communication platforms.
  • Coach staff. Lead a staff who continue to develop themselves and their skills.
  • Owning safety without killing the adventure. You’ll keep risk assessments, checks and training sharp so your team can focus on the adventure.
  • Turning feedback into better camps. You’ll listen to students, schools and staff, then lead the changes that make next time even better.
  • Leading the company culture to reflect our values (Respect, Safety, Can do Attitude, Walk the Talk and Commitment to Quality) and our cultural norms (It all hinges on ownership, Create enjoyment in everything we do, A healthy sense of humility and self-deprecation.)

 This is you if…

  • You’ve spent years in outdoor leadership (or education), and you’re ready to lead people, not just activities
  • High relational skills and has experience leading others
  • You love seeing people become something more and driven by the importance of good character
  • You work hard and create fun
  • Adapt well to new environments
  • You want to build something, not just keep it ticking over
  • You are self-aware and take ownership of your own learning
  • You laugh at yourself easily and own your mistakes (we call it failing forward)
  • Safety and compliance are valued as a critical part of outdoor education and working with children.

 What’s in it for you

  • A competitive salary + super
  • An extra week of annual leave
  • Meals on site when you’re working
  • Training support
  • Shaping a growing new site within the one team
  • An experienced team behind you
  • Your office is the Tamborine bush, close to Brisbane and the Gold Coast
  • Working for a purpose not for a person.
