Description

Elecnor continues to expand its operations in Australia with the awarding of new projects and continued pipeline of work. Elecnor is seeking experienced Transmission Tower Erectors and Lines Workers to join our team.

Multiple positions are available across NSW, offering opportunities to contribute to the construction of critical energy infrastructure projects that will support Australia’s transition to a more sustainable energy future.

Job Purpose

The erection of towers, poles, structures, hardware and/or associated equipment used on transmission towers.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble steel lattice towers (“electricity pylons”) with associated anti-climbing devices, step-bolts and signage.
  • Stringing of new transmission lines up to 500kV.
  • Apply appropriate earthing schemes to dissipate induced voltages and protect linesmen working on towers.
  • Be very safety conscious and follow strict safety rules in line with work instructions, risk assessments and permits to work, marking out appropriate danger zones around overhead working areas and ensuring that all known risks at work sites are controlled.
  • Ensure that accidents and near-miss incidents are promptly reported giving accurate details established at the time of the incident.

What you need

  • Australian or New Zealand recognised Qualifications / Licenses for related position 
  • Current driver’s license is essential 
  • White Card
  • EWP license and Working at Heights training highly regarded
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
  • Minimum of 4 years previous experience in your related field
