Description

With care and confidence, protect our customers’ investments and help build future value.

Property Valet is the dedicated property management business within imagina Group. We exist to deliver a level of care, consistency and stewardship that goes well beyond traditional portfolio management.

We’re looking for an experienced Portfolio / Property Manager to take end-to-end ownership of an established residential portfolio in the Illawarra / Wollongong region.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, to cover parental leave and is working from home. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your properties and relationships, backed by a broader team and dedicated offshore support through team. And while you’ll have plenty of autonomy, you won’t be working in isolation. You’ll have regular connection with your State Manager and catch-ups with the wider NSW Property Valet team.

What you’ll own

This is true, end-to-end portfolio management. You’ll be the primary relationship for your owners and tenants, using your experience and judgement and care to protect and grow our customers’ investments; and elevate both landlord and tenant experience.

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with owners and tenants
  • Coordinate leasing, tenant selection, sign-ups and renewals
  • Manage maintenance, inspections, arrears and vacates
  • Reduce vacancy periods and keep owners informed
  • Complex conversations and negotiations
  • Prepare for and manage NCAT matters where required
  • Keep PropertyMe entries and records accurate, up to date
  • Identify opportunities for new managements and proactively manage leads

And importantly, you’ll have support. Our dedicated and long-standing offshore team provides support across application processing, invoicing, compliance and new-management onboarding. This will ensure, as an experienced Portfolio Manager, you’ll add the most value: properties, people, decisions and relationships.

What you’ll bring

You already know property / portfolio management well. You can run a portfolio without supervision and you’re comfortable making sound decisions, dealing with complex issues and managing your own time effectively.

  • Solid residential portfolio management experience
  • A current NSW Real Estate Licence – Class 1 or 2
  • Confidence managing an end-to-end portfolio and working independently
  • Strong working knowledge of NSW tenancy legislation and compliance
  • Practical experience with PropertyMe or similar property management technology
  • Confidence handling arrears, maintenance, leasing, difficult conversations and NCAT
  • A current driver’s licence, registered and insured vehicle and the ability to travel throughout your portfolio

Why Property Valet?

Property Valet is part of imagina Group – a growing group of businesses spanning property, finance and technology.

We’re building a more connected way of looking after property and the people behind it. That means better systems, smarter support and a willingness to challenge some of the traditional ways property management has always been done.

For this role, you’ll receive:

  • $80,000 Base + Superannuation + Motor Vehicle Allowance (MVA)
  • Lucrative, above market new-management incentive scheme
  • Work from home autonomy, tech and equipment provided
  • Experienced and supportive leadership, dedicated offshore administrative support
  • Paid birthday leave
  • Bi-annual HQ employee events in Sydney
  • Employer Assistance Program

If you’re an experienced Portfolio / Property Manager who likes autonomy, relationships and getting things done – we’d love to hear from you.
