Night Manager

Dorsett Gold Coast is looking for an experienced Night Manager to take the lead in our overnight operations and ensure our guests receive the highest level of service around the clock.

About the Role

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Night Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s overnight operations, leading the overnight Front Office team and acting as the senior management representative on duty.

You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel, maintaining guest satisfaction, overseeing night audit procedures and managing any operational matters that arise throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service and operational standards are maintained.
• Lead, support and motivate the overnight Front Office team.
• Manage guest enquiries, complaints and service recovery situations.
• Oversee night audit procedures, financial reconciliations and daily system rollover.
• Maintain hotel security and respond to incidents and emergencies as required.
• Oversee guest arrivals, departures, VIP arrangements and special requests.
• Manage valet parking operations and ensure guest vehicles are handled safely.
• Monitor guest feedback and ensure appropriate follow-up through ReviewPro.
• Champion Dorsett Your Rewards and identify opportunities to upsell and drive revenue.
• Ensure effective communication and handovers between shifts and departments.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar leadership role within a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and hotel procedures.
• Previous experience with night audit and Opera PMS.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• A genuine passion for guest service and creating memorable experiences.
• The ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays.
