Are you a Social Worker looking for your next role as a Family Services Practitioner working within Strengthening Families?  

Reporting to the Team Leader, Family Services your responsibilities will include but not limited to; 

• Working with children and families, delivering effective interventions that increase parenting capacity, improve family functioning, achieve child safety and enhance conditions for child development.  
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and practice approaches to increase engagement of families  
• Assist families to access services that will enhance parenting skills 
• Contribute as a member of a care team or professional network to support case planning and ongoing risk assessment. 

To be successful in this role you will have;  

• Tertiary Social Work qualification or equivalent / eligibility for membership of AASW 
• Knowledge of the Victorian Child Protection system and demonstrated experience in delivering direct support services to families and children.  
• Experience and competence in providing a range of interventions to vulnerable families, individuals and children. 
• A current Employee Working with Children check and Driver’s licence and the willingness for us to complete a police check.  

This role is classified at SCHADS Level 5 ($53.43per hour) and is 0.8 FTE. There is some flexibility in working arrangements however the role may also at times require work out of business hours to meet specific client needs. The position description is attached.
