About the role:

Working in a fun and lively environment, the Duty Manager creates memorable moments for guests that will keep them coming back for more. Whist on shift, the Duty Manager is responsible for leading, mentoring and acting as a role model for the Front Office team, ensuring service standards are upheld. The Duty Manager makes sound decisions based on situation analysis ensuring our guest and staff’s safety is paramount, and therefore this role must be trained as a fire warden and hold a current RSA and First Aid certificate.

We are seeking a warm and welcoming personality, a passion for customer service and the ability to create surprising and memorable experiences whilst leading the Front Office team on shift.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading service-excellence operations of the Front Office within the hotel
  • Management of customer feedback and complaints
  • Delivering exceptional service experiences
  • Overseeing the implementation of Doma Hotels policies and procedures ensuring; policies and procedures are adhered

What you will bring:

Naturally, your previous experience within a luxury hospitality setting, will come highly regarded. As will the following:

  • Knowledge and skills at a level adequate to train the Front Office Team
  • Advanced time management skills and ability to manage other competing priorities
  • Motivation to build strong rapport with guests and colleagues through effective communication
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities to build an inclusive and supportive team
  • Ability work under minimal supervision and maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • Excellent personal presentation and presence
  • Willingness and ability to exceed expectations
  • Ability to work rotating shift including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Understanding of IT applications: Opera PMS, Micros and Microsoft software
