Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, Proficient

Full Time | 38 Hours Per Week 

Hybrid | 2 to 3 days per week in our Warragul office, with the remainder of the week working remotely

Disability Connect Australia is seeking an experienced Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our developing Positive Behaviour Support team.

This role offers a mix of office-based and remote work, giving you the opportunity to work directly with participants and their support networks while also having dedicated time for report writing, behaviour support planning and other practitioner responsibilities.

You will also have access to ongoing professional supervision and support as part of your role.

You will:

  • Complete functional behaviour assessments
  • Develop and review Behaviour Support Plans
  • Deliver Positive Behaviour Support services to participants with a range of support needs
  • Work closely with participants, families, support teams and other professionals
  • Provide practical strategies and recommendations to improve participant outcomes
  • Support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices
  • Complete reports, documentation and other requirements within expected timeframes
  • Maintain accurate case notes and participant records
  • Work within the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
  • Ensure services meet NDIS Commission requirements and organisational quality standards
  • Participate in supervision, professional development and team meetings

You will have:

  • Proficient-level suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commission
  • Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support
  • Experience completing functional behaviour assessments and Behaviour Support Plans
  • Knowledge of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
  • Experience supporting participants with complex needs
  • Strong written communication and report-writing skills
  • The ability to manage your own caseload and priorities
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience
