Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive requirements definition, process design, and solution alignment across technology initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable requirements and support delivery within an Agile environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation including BRDs, user stories, and process maps
  • Conduct workshops to capture current state, pain points, and define future state solutions
  • Perform gap analysis between existing systems and proposed solutions
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Map end-to-end business processes to technology solutions
  • Define PoC/demo scenarios for product evaluation
  • Manage and refine product backlog, including prioritisation and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
  • Provide regular updates to Project Manager on status, risks, and issues
  • Identify optimisation opportunities including cost and efficiency improvements


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Business Analysis within Agile environments
  • Hands-on experience with Jira / Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Expertise in user story writing, backlog management, and acceptance criteria definition
  • Experience in process mapping and journey mapping (Figma / Visio)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, requirements engineering, and system analysis
  • Ability to assess technical requirements, constraints, and system capabilities
  • Experience working with operational technology environments (preferred in policing/public sector)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root cause analysis capability
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders


Good to Have

  • Experience working in government or public sector environments
  • Exposure to security, access, and identity frameworks
