Description

FEMALE DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS – WANNEROO

We are building a team of experienced female Disability Support Workers to support two women living in their home.

We are looking for people who bring more than just experience – warm, energetic, outgoing and capable individuals who can help create a home that feels welcoming, positive and full of life. This is an opportunity to join a carefully selected team, with a strong focus on consistency, relationships, meaningful engagement and quality support.

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Warm, friendly, outgoing and naturally engaging
  • Positive, energetic and solution-focused with a genuine can-do attitude
  • Calm, confident and emotionally mature
  • Creative and willing to bring ideas and activities into the home
  • Comfortable getting out into the community and actively participating
  • Reliable, consistent and able to work well within a team
  • Able to build genuine rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Confident supporting complex behaviours using calm, low-arousal and trauma-informed approaches
  • Able to follow Behaviour Support Plans, risk plans and clinical guidance
  • Strong in communication and documentation
  • Committed to promoting choice, independence and meaningful participation

We would particularly love to hear from people who enjoy interests such as:

Art & crafts | Jewellery making | Sewing | Music | Singing | Dancing | Cooking | Shopping | Coffee outings | Walking | Outdoors | Community activities | Health & wellbeing

You don’t need to share every interest. What matters is that you genuinely enjoy engaging with people and can turn everyday moments into opportunities for connection, independence and enjoyment.

Great support in this home might mean putting some music on while preparing a meal, heading out for coffee, working on a creative project, getting involved in community activities or simply creating a calm, comfortable and welcoming home.

Experience & Requirements

  • Certificate III or higher in Mental Health, Community Services, Disability, Individual Support, Allied Health Assistance or another relevant qualification
  • Experience supporting people with mental health, psychosocial disability and/or behaviours of concern
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Medication competency and relevant NDIS mandatory training
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and documentation skills

The Role

This is a 24/7 supported living environment, with a combination of 1:1 and 2:1 supports.

We are looking to establish a stable core team, so consistency and reliability are important. Participant-specific training will be provided before commencing work, along with ongoing support and coaching from our leadership team.

You’ll be joining a collaborative workplace with a strong focus on teamwork and working alongside the broader multidisciplinary team.

If you bring energy, warmth, professionalism and initiative to your work, we’d love to hear from you!

When applying, please send your resume and tell us a little about your experience, personality, hobbies and interests, and what you would bring to the team.
