Summary: The Floor Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality services at Kuro Bar & Dining in Sydney CBD. This position is, above all, to assist the General Manager in daily floor activities, maintaining high standards of customer service, and leading the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in daily operations and floor management
• Oversee floor operations and service standards during shifts
• Lead and support the front-of-house team, providing guidance and training as needed
• Advise guests on wine selections and pairings across our list
• Proactively upsell food and wine items — going beyond order-taking to identify opportunities that enhance the guest experience and drive revenue
• Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in fine dining
• Strong knowledge of wine and food and beverage service standards
• Fluent English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
