🏏Join cricket Victoria – We’re hiring a Commercial Partnerships Manager for our Big Bash Victoria team.

The Melbourne Stars are looking for a Commercial Partnerships Manager to join our Big Bash Victoria team and take the lead on delivering great outcomes for our partners throughout the cricket season.
From developing partnership ideas and proposals to delivering match day activations, partner events and player experiences, you’ll be involved from planning through to delivery. You’ll manage key relationships, work closely with partners to understand what matters to them and find opportunities to create more value for both the partner and the Club.
💪 The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of Melbourne Stars commercial partners and build strong, trusted relationships.
- Develop and deliver partnership plans, activations, events and partner experiences across match day and non-match day.
- Work with partners to understand their objectives and develop tailored ideas that deliver against their goals.
- Prepare partnership proposals, renewals, presentations and reporting, demonstrating the value delivered to partners.
- Manage sponsorship assets, player appearances and other contractual partner obligations.
- Support new business opportunities, including partner acquisition and renewals.
- Coordinate with internal teams, Cricket Australia, suppliers, agencies and other stakeholders to bring partnership plans to life.
- Deliver partner activations, hospitality and experiences at Melbourne Stars home games, with occasional away game support.
- Monitor budgets and maintain accurate partnership records and reporting.
- Review partnership activity and identify opportunities to improve delivery and create greater value.
🎯 About You
You’ll bring:
- Experience in commercial partnerships, sponsorship, account management, sales or a similar role.
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to build credibility with clients and stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of how to create value for partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and presentation development.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A creative, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to turn ideas into action.
- The ability to work collaboratively and take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
Highly Regarded:
- Previous Corporate Partner experience, preferably within a sporting body
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant degree – i.e. Business, Marketing, etc.
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- Valid Driver’s licence
