Retail Sales Assistant / Sleep Clinician– Canberra

Full-Time | 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract

CPAP Direct is a retail and clinical leader in the sleep apnoea industry across Australia. We have 20 retail stores and a large e-commerce business, making us a go-to destination for people looking to research, be diagnosed and receive successful treatment for sleep-related conditions.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our Canberra team on a 3-month fixed-term, full-time contract.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with alternate Saturdays, 9:00am–2:00pm receive a fortnightly RDO for every Saturday worked.

What You’ll Be Doing – Comprehensive Training Provided!

Whilst experience in CPAP therapy, sleep health or healthcare is an advantage, we’re always interested in meeting people with the right attitude, personality and willingness to learn.

If you have a strong background in retail, customer service, healthcare, or a related field, along with a genuine passion for helping people, we’d love to hear from you.

Using your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll help customers understand their sleep health needs and support them throughout their CPAP therapy journey. You’ll enjoy connecting with people, listening to their concerns and finding solutions that make a genuine difference to their quality of life.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and supporting home sleep tests and diagnostic equipment.
• Assisting customers with CPAP therapy, including machines, masks and accessories.
• Providing patient education and guidance on sleep health and CPAP therapy within the scope of your training and qualifications.
• Troubleshooting CPAP equipment and assisting customers with technical queries.
• Supporting patients with equipment selection, fitting and ongoing therapy needs.
• Building positive relationships with customers, patients and healthcare professionals.
• Completing relevant documentation, reporting and general administration.
• Providing exceptional customer service and after-sales support.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional clinical and retail environment.

Here Are a Few Things We Think Will Make You Ideal for This Role

• Experience in CPAP, sleep health, healthcare, medical technology, pharmacy, optometry, audiology or a similar customer-focused environment is advantageous.
• You have experience in a busy customer service, clinical or retail environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities.
• You demonstrate empathy, compassion and a genuine commitment to positive patient outcomes.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy building rapport with people from all walks of life.
• You’re comfortable learning technical information and explaining it in a clear, easy-to-understand way.
• You thrive under pressure and work well independently and as part of a supportive team.
• You’re proactive, adaptable and willing to learn new systems and processes.
• You bring enthusiasm, positivity and a genuine work ethic to everything you do.
• You demonstrate integrity, professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• You’re available to work the advertised full-time roster, including alternate Saturdays.
