🌟 Casual Disability Support Worker – Community & Social Support
We are looking for a reliable and friendly Male Disability Support Worker to join our team in Aspley, QLD.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people get out into the community, stay socially connected, and participate in activities they enjoy.
The client has a history of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and strokes and requires support primarily with community access and social activities.

🕐 Required Availability
We are looking for someone who can commit to the following shifts:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sunday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Flexibility to work both morning and afternoon support on weekends is required.
🧩 About the Role
Your main focus will be providing positive and engaging support during community outings and social activities.
You may assist the client with:
- Community outings and appointments
- Social and recreational activities
- Getting out into the community and staying socially connected
- Encouraging independence and participation
- Supporting the client to enjoy activities and maintain their interests
- Providing companionship and positive social interaction
- Ensuring the client feels comfortable, respected, and supported while out in the community

🧠 Experience
Experience supporting clients with the following is highly desirable:
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- History of strokes
- Disability or community support
- Community access and social support
Previous Disability Support Worker experience is preferred.
📋 Requirements
- Previous experience in disability or community support
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check / Blue Card
- First Aid & CPR certification is advantageous
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Availability for the required shifts
