Connect Children and Families is a not-for-profit organisation working alongside communities across the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Hawkesbury, and Western Sydney. We support children’s learning, wellbeing, and safety by helping families access the services they need—at home, in early childhood education, in schools, and in community spaces.

Bunya Early Childhood Centre, located in Winmalee, has been a trusted part of the local community for over 30 years. We provide education and care for up to 54 children each day, aged from 6 weeks to 6 years. Our team is passionate about creating nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environments where children thrive.

🌟 Temporary Kitchen Cook – Childcare Centre | Part-Time 🌟

📍 Location: Bunya Early Childhood Centre – 54 Whitecross Road, Winmalee NSW

🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm (32.5 hours per week)

📅 Contract: Fixed-Term from 1 July 2025 to 19 December 2025

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Cook to join our team at Bunya Early Childhood Centre on a temporary part-time basis. This maternity leave cover position runs from 1 July 2025 through to 19 December 2025.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals for children in our care, while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and catering to a variety of dietary needs.

What We’re Looking For

✅ Experience in meal preparation for children (preferably in a childcare or school setting)

✅ Knowledge of safe food handling practices

✅ A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)

✅ A friendly, organised, and proactive approach to your work

✅ Flexibility and a genuine passion for supporting the well-being of children
