Description

Site Supervisor – HVAC & Air Conditioning

Commercial Air Conditioning Pty Ltd  |Warriewood, NSW  |  Full Time

READY TO RUN YOUR OWN SITES? WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Whether you’re an experienced Site Supervisor looking for a more rewarding role, or a highly skilled installer who’s ready to take the next step — this is your opportunity to join one of Sydney’s most respected commercial HVAC businesses and grow your career on some genuinely interesting projects.

Commercial Air Conditioning has been privately owned and operated since 1993. We deliver high-quality commercial fit-out and construction work across Sydney and surrounds — office towers, shopping centres, large commercial and industrial premises — and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in running a tight, professional site.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

  • Wage negotiable depending on experience — we’ll make the right offer for the right person, whether you’re stepping up or already established in the role
  • Company vehicle with fuel card and e-tag
  • Mobile phone provided
  • Uniforms and PPE fully supplied
  • Overtime available
  • Real autonomy — you’ll run your sites your way, backed by a management team that trusts its people
  • Exposure to a diverse range of commercial construction and fit-out projects
  • Positive, team-oriented culture with regular team-building days
  • Long-term stability with a full pipeline of work and a loyal client base built over 30+ years

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of commercial HVAC installation and fit-out projects across Sydney and surrounds. You’ll be coordinating and supervising sub-contractors on site — not managing direct employees — so your ability to hold sub-contractors accountable to programme, specification, and quality standards is critical.

Day to day, you’ll be running site coordination meetings, managing the sequencing of HVAC works within the broader construction programme, conducting quality checks against mechanical drawings and specs, and keeping the head contractor and our office informed on progress, variations, and any issues that arise. You’ll be the face of Commercial Air Conditioning on site — the person the builder turns to when they need answers.

Project scale and sub-contractor numbers vary, so you’ll need to be adaptable — equally comfortable running a tight two-trade fit-out or coordinating multiple sub-contractors across a larger commercial build.

If you’re coming from an installer background, you’ll have the support of experienced management around you as you develop the supervisory and commercial side of the role. You’ll still be hands-on at times, but you’ll be growing into running sites independently.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re open to two types of candidates:

If you’re an established Site Supervisor, you’ll bring proven experience running commercial HVAC or mechanical services projects, a strong grasp of construction programmes and sub-contractor management, and the confidence to represent us professionally with head contractors and clients.

If you’re a highly experienced HVAC installer ready to step up, you’ll be someone with deep installation knowledge, a track record of being trusted on complex jobs, and the presence to hold sub-contractors to a standard. You don’t need the title — but you need the credibility and readiness.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • Cert III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
  • Extensive hands-on experience in commercial HVAC installation and fit-out — this is essential; service backgrounds alone will not be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and work to mechanical services drawings and specifications
  • Experience coordinating or supervising sub-contractors on commercial construction sites (formal title not required for progressor applicants)
  • Solid understanding of construction programmes, trade sequencing, and site coordination
  • Strong WHS knowledge and commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant worksite
  • Confident communicator — able to deal professionally with head contractors, sub-contractors, and our internal team
  • NSW Driver’s Licence and White Card
  • Willingness to complete a national police check and Working With Vulnerable People clearance
