We are currently seeking dedicated Female Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team. If you are compassionate, reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality care, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will be part of a professional and supportive team providing person-centred care to individuals living in a Supported Independent Living residential setting. This role involves supporting clients with daily living activities, personal care, community participation, and complex support needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Available Shifts

We are seeking team members who are available to work across a rotating roster that may include:

  • Morning shifts
  • Afternoon shifts
  • Sleepover shifts
  • Active night shifts
  • Alternate weekends

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support in accordance with individual care plans
  • Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medications in line with policies and procedures
  • Support clients with meal preparation, domestic tasks, and household routines
  • Facilitate community access and social participation
  • Assist with manual handling, transfers, and mobility support
  • Complete accurate documentation, including progress notes and incident reports
  • Follow organisational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Participate in training, supervision, and professional development activities
  • Maintain client confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
  • Perform additional duties as required.

About You

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in Disability, Aged Care, Nursing, or Community Services within Australia
  • Previous experience working in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment with multiple participants and a team of support staff
  • Experience supporting clients with complex care and behavioural support needs
  • Medication administration experience
  • Strong personal care skills
  • Confidence with manual handling practices

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with hoisting and transfers
  • Experience with PEG feeding
  • Nursing qualifications (Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse)

Qualifications

Applicants must hold one of the following (or equivalent):

  • Certificate III in Individual Support
  • Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services
  • Diploma in Community Services, Disability, Aged Care, Nursing, or related field

Required Checks and Certifications

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check (Employee)
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Valid Australian working rights

Preferred

  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Reliable vehicle and Comprehensive Car Insurance
