About Coastal Dental Care

Holistic Dental Care is a dentist-owned, purpose-led practice within the Coastal Dental Care network, based at Emerald Lakes in Carrara. Led by Lead Dentist and Practice Owner Dr Carla Simoes, our team sees oral health as part of the bigger picture: physical wellbeing, emotional balance and how a patient feels in the chair. We work with biocompatible materials, favour minimally invasive techniques where we can, and take the time for genuinely personalised care. This is dentistry with intention, not volume.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our practice part-time.

This part-time role works 24 hours across three days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. You’ll be chairside with Dr John Sotis, who’s spent more than 20 years building a genuinely holistic dental practice on the Gold Coast: biocompatible materials, a whole-person approach and a considered, unhurried pace of care.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting chairside during preventative, restorative and surgical procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and materials for each patient
• Sterilising instruments and maintaining infection control standards throughout the practice
• Keeping treatment rooms and clinical areas clean, organised and well stocked
• Welcoming, comforting and supporting patients throughout their visit, in line with our whole-person approach to care
• Assisting with basic administrative or reception tasks as required

What we’re looking for

Essential

• 2+ years’ experience in a dental assisting role, including chairside support
• Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation processes
• A caring, professional and patient-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail and reliability

Preferred

• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
• Familiarity with Dental for Windows (D4W) or similar software
• An interest in holistic or integrative approaches to health
