ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver to join our busy Auckland team. As a Class 5 Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out driving duties and supporting the Transport Supervisor to achieve Chemfreight’s customer service goals. This includes the safe, timely, and accurate movement of goods throughout the Auckland metropolitan area.

Teamwork is an important part of the role, working together to provide an efficient and reliable service to a wide range of customers, including several multinational companies. As our drivers are often the face of Chemfreight, you will take pride in providing professional and friendly customer service and presenting yourself to a high standard.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, we are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a current Full Class 5 New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • Can drive a range of gearbox types, including automatic, manual, and Road Ranger.
  • Has Dangerous Goods (DG) knowledge and experience and holds a current D endorsement on your licence.
  • Has excellent Auckland geographical knowledge and experience
  • Has experience with curtainside trucks and good load strapping skills.
  • Previous experience with pumping liquids would be an advantage
  • Is comfortable working in a busy transport environment with a variety of trucks and equipment.
  • Is reliable, safety-focused, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
  • Can work autonomously
  • Is available to work 45 hours per week but also flexible if addiotnal hours are requiered
