Description
Most dental reception ads are written for a seat that’s already empty and a team that’s already stretched. This one isn’t. We have capacity at two practices right now and we’d rather find the right person than fill a gap in a hurry.
If you’re an experienced dental receptionist weighing up your next move — Ocean Keys in Clarkson or Innaloo — we’d like to hear from you, even if you’re not ready to move tomorrow.
Allied Dental Ocean Keys (Clarkson) — a growing practice expanding from four to seven chairs, with a front office team being built out to match. Busy, family-heavy patient base, plenty of movement.
Allied Dental Innaloo — aesthetics-focused rather than routine general dentistry. Advanced technology (iTero, Gemini laser, 3D printing, OPG), and a team that’s being deliberately rebuilt under new practice leadership.
Both sit within Allied Dental, a network of six practices across Perth backed by a dedicated head office in South Perth covering HR, marketing, finance and operations. That matters day to day: you’re not chasing payroll queries or building Facebook posts between patients. You run the front office and we run the back office.
Tell us which practice interests you,or tell us you’re open to either.
What you’ll actually do
- Be the first point of contact — in person and on the phone — and set the tone for the whole visit
- Manage the diary properly: bookings, recalls, gaps, short-notice changes, and the judgement calls in between
- Handle health fund processing, invoicing, payment plans and the money conversation without flinching (Ocean Keys & Innaloo will have someone to deal with the complex case load)
- Explain treatment, sequencing and costs clearly to patients who are nervous or unsure
- Keep recalls and treatment follow-through moving so planned care actually happens
- Work closely with clinicians and dental assistants to keep the day running
- Hold the front office to a standard — tidy, calm, warm, on top of it
Who we’re looking for
- Experienced in dental reception. This one isn’t negotiable as we need someone who already knows dental terminology, item numbers, health funds and how a dental appointment book behaves
- Confident with practice management software (we use Praktika with training provided if you’ve used something else)
- Genuinely good with people. Patients remember how they were greeted far longer than they remember the treatment plan
- Organised under pressure, and comfortable multitasking without losing warmth
- Comfortable talking about money in terms of quotes, gaps, payment plans and without apologising for it
- Available full-time or part-time; tell us what you’re after
What’s on offer
- $35–$42 per hour depending on experience, with room to move as you take on more
- Full-time or part-time as we’ll build the roster around the right person
- Structured development through our competency and pay progression frameworks
- Career pathways across six practices including progression toward coordinator and practice management roles
- Modern, well-equipped practices with on-site parking
