We are seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Operations Coordinator to join our Day Shift Operations Team. About the Role
As a Transport Operations Coordinator, you will be at the centre of our daily operations, coordinating vehicle movements, supporting drivers, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service.
The role requires a proactive and solutions-focused individual who can confidently manage competing priorities, respond to operational challenges, and maintain effective communication with drivers, customers, and key stakeholders throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch vehicles to meet customer delivery requirements and operational deadlines.
- Monitor fleet movements and make real-time adjustments to maximise service performance.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Effectively manage and resolve daily transport and logistical challenges.
- Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure seamless continuity between shifts.
- Maximise fleet utilisation, productivity, and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and workplace safety obligations.
- Contribute to achieving operational KPIs and customer service targets.
- Maintain accurate transport records and operational documentation.
- Analyse operational data and reporting to support informed business decisions and continuous improvement.

- Previous experience in transport operations, fleet allocation, transport scheduling, dispatch, or logistics coordination.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse operational data, generate reports, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
- Strong computer literacy and experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- A sound understanding of fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and transport industry compliance requirements.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
- Approximately 4:00am to 2:30pm
- 10 to 11-hour shifts
Saturday
- Two Saturdays per month
- Approximately 4:00am to 12:00pm
