The Opportunity

The role
Reporting directly to the CEO as part of the Corporate Services leadership team, you will be the sole accountable officer for all people and workforce matters. This is a hands-on, high-impact generalist position with direct Board visibility.

Workforce planning — headcount, care minutes compliance, and reducing agency reliance

P&C reporting — quarterly papers to the People & Culture Committee and Board

Award & remuneration compliance — Aged Care Award 2010, Fair Work Act 2009, FY26–27 wage modelling

Mandatory training register — owning ACQSC audit evidence under the Strengthened Quality Standard

Work health & safety — incident register, workers compensation, LTIFR reporting

Staff engagement — engagement surveys, EAP, culture action plans

Recruitment — end-to-end, including onboarding framework and worker screening
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or equivalent. AHRI membership desirable
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a human resources management in aged care, health, disability or a regulated sector
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Award 2010, Nurses Award 2020 and Fair Work Act 2009
- Familiarity with the Aged Care Act 2024 and Strengthened Quality Standards (or the commitment to develop it rapidly)
- WHS experience including WorkSafe Victoria obligations
- Confidence presenting data-driven papers to Board-level committees
- Understanding of regional workforce dynamics — you build genuine relationships
- Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or equivalent. AHRI membership desirable
