Calling all Experienced Support Workers with Christmas Availability!

Location: Central Mackay

Position: Casual (up to 38 hours per week)

What does a typical shift look like?

Each day is unique, depending on the needs of our participants. Tasks may include:

  • Assisting with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Preparing meals and supporting participants with nutrition needs.
  • Providing light housekeeping, laundry, and other domestic assistance.
  • Supporting participants to achieve their goals for independence and daily living.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to participants, engaging them in social and recreational activities
  • Manual Handling
  • Some behaviour supports (due to acquired injuries)
  • Documenting care provided in line with company policies and industry standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Blue Card, and NDIS Orientation Certificate
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services desirable
  • Manual Handling skills (and no underlying conditions to limit manual handling)
  • Skilled at developing strong interpersonal connections that create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
  • First Aid/CPR
  • A current driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation
  • Availability over Christmas/New Year period
  • Spinal Experience Preferred
