Job Overview:

Join Carers Collective as an Area Manager in Northside Brisbane, where your leadership directly impacts the lives of NDIS participants receiving high-intensity care. You’ll serve as a critical link between frontline teams and management, driving operational excellence, fostering team culture, and ensuring that participants receive compassionate, participant-centred support in line with NDIS Practice Standards. This role is based in-office located at Varsity Lakes and Oxley Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Mentor Support Workers and build a culture of collaboration, safety, and growth.
  • Deliver structured coaching, debriefing, and feedback.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness and maintain service continuity.
  • Reduce staff turnover and optimise workforce capability.

Participant-Focused Operations

  • Drive support planning and ensure participants’ evolving needs are met.
  • Handle complaints and feedback transparently, using them as growth opportunities.
  • Enhance community engagement initiatives to reduce participant isolation.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure alignment with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational values.
  • Lead incident investigations and apply risk mitigation strategies.
  • Champion continuous improvement across care delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven leadership experience in disability care or a similar sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS compliance, participant rights, and workforce management.
  • Effective communicator with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Emotionally resilient with the ability to lead during high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to fulfil paperwork in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

Mandatory

  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Blue Card
  • Current QLD Driver’s License and reliable vehicle

Preferred

  • Certificate IV or higher in Disability, Leadership, or related field
  • Training or experience in managing high-intensity care needs
