Job Overview:
Join Carers Collective as an Area Manager in Northside Brisbane, where your leadership directly impacts the lives of NDIS participants receiving high-intensity care. You’ll serve as a critical link between frontline teams and management, driving operational excellence, fostering team culture, and ensuring that participants receive compassionate, participant-centred support in line with NDIS Practice Standards. This role is based in-office located at Varsity Lakes and Oxley Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Leadership & Development
- Mentor Support Workers and build a culture of collaboration, safety, and growth.
- Deliver structured coaching, debriefing, and feedback.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and maintain service continuity.
- Reduce staff turnover and optimise workforce capability.
Participant-Focused Operations
- Drive support planning and ensure participants’ evolving needs are met.
- Handle complaints and feedback transparently, using them as growth opportunities.
- Enhance community engagement initiatives to reduce participant isolation.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure alignment with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational values.
- Lead incident investigations and apply risk mitigation strategies.
- Champion continuous improvement across care delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven leadership experience in disability care or a similar sector.
- Strong knowledge of NDIS compliance, participant rights, and workforce management.
- Effective communicator with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Emotionally resilient with the ability to lead during high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to fulfil paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Mandatory
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Blue Card
- Current QLD Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
Preferred
- Certificate IV or higher in Disability, Leadership, or related field
- Training or experience in managing high-intensity care needs
