We’re looking for compassionate, confident and resilient Support Workers to join our team across Adelaide, with a particular focus on the western, north-eastern and southern suburbs.

About the role: 

Every person we support is different, so every day can look different. 

You’ll work alongside people to: 

• Build confidence, independence and everyday living skills. 
• Get out into the community, attend appointments and participate in activities they enjoy. 
• Support daily routines including meal preparation, personal care, hygiene and medication management. 
• Provide in-home and day activity support. 
• Build genuine, respectful relationships and help people achieve their personal goals. 
• Support people with complex needs, including behaviours of concern, with patience, confidence and a person-centred approach. 
• Respond calmly and appropriately when situations become challenging. 
• Keep accurate records and work within Cara’s policies and procedures. 
• Work as part of a team to provide consistent, high-quality support. 

About you: 

• Experience supporting people with disability and/or complex support needs is highly desirable 
• Experience supporting people with high behavioural needs is advantageous. 
• Availability for morning, afternoon and evening shifts 
• Availability for a minimum of one overnight shift per week and alternate weekends 
• Current First Aid Certificate 
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance 
• Valid Australian work rights 
• Driver’s license – P2 minimum requirement  
• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent experience is desirable, but not essential.
