We’re inviting expressions of interest from passionate, skilled bakers who’d love to join the ButterBoy team in Manly. While we may not have a role open right this moment, we’re building a pool of great candidates to reach out to as positions become available.

About the role 

At the crux of our operations, the Baker is responsible for the creation of our ButterBoy Cookies and any seasonal-related products we are offering. You will create sensory experiences for all our customers in our captivating store, using only the finest ingredients. As a ButterBoy Baker you are a key player in carrying the ButterBoy brand in all aspects.

What you’ll be doing

Production

• Prepare, bake and finish bakery products in accordance with ButterBoy recipes, specifications and daily production schedules
• Maintain consistent product quality, appearance and portion standards across all baked goods
• Follow established recipes and production procedures accurately to ensure food safety and consistency
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
• Assist with ingredient preparation, mixing, shaping, baking and packing as required
• Represent the ButterBoy brand and values through professionalism, teamwork and high-quality workmanship

Customer Experience

• Acknowledge and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner when working in visible bakery areas
• Provide detailed product knowledge and answer customer questions about bakery items when approached
• Assist the Front of House team during busy periods, including serving customers, packaging products and operating the counter when required
• Contribute to a positive, supportive and professional team culture

What we’re looking for

• 2 years’ experience in a similar environment
• Commercial cooking/pastry qualification, or reasonable amount of prior experience
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• NSW FSS (Food Safety Supervisor) Certificate (preferred)
