The Opportunity
We are currently seeking Registered Nurses, available on a casual basis, for our 32-bedded ward – Tui. Reporting to the Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing pre- and post-operative care to patients in a range of specialties including General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, and Vascular.
You will receive a comprehensive orientation and induction, tailored to your expertise, and ongoing professional development with access to peri-operative education.

To be successful in this role you will:
- You will have prior experience in ward surgical nursing and ideally in a private hospital environment. Surgical specialties include: General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular;
- You must have a current New Zealand Nursing Registration (APC);
- Ideally you will have at least 3 years of NZ surgical experience.
- You will understand that the key to success lies in our team operating in collaboration with one another and you will have the ability and disposition to enhance cooperation and teamwork.
- You will have excellent assessment skills, and an organised and methodical approach.
- You will be enthusiastic and focused on patient experience; with a patient-centric approach, you will take time to demonstrate the highest level of attention and care.
- You will be known for your clear and professional communication skills and your ability to remain calm and collected in a dynamic work environment.
- You will have flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and nights.
