Description

About Blundstone

Since 1870, Blundstone has made the toughest, no-nonsense footwear for work and play.

Decades of innovative design and production mean Blundstone now oversees a global supply chain bringing together the best ideas, components and designs to complement a wide range of products – from the iconic elastic-sided boots loved worldwide to gumboots, lace-up safety footwear for men and women, heavy industrial footwear and casual boots.

Our products are developed by a team based in Hobart, Tasmania, who use the best resources available from all over the world to develop footwear that keeps pushing the boundaries.

Our people are dedicated, highly skilled, innovative and focused on our customers. We seek and attract people who understand that the power of the team will get the best results for the people who decide to wear our products.

Our sales team is where the brand meets the market: the retailers, resellers and industrial customers who recommend Blundstone to their own customers every day.

About the role

Queensland is one of our largest and most varied territories: mining and resources, agriculture, construction, and trades, and some of the country’s strongest work and lifestyle retail. We are looking for a Sales Representative to take it on and make it their own.

Based at your home office in QLD and reporting to the Regional Sales and Account Manager, you will execute the area sales plan, deepen our relationships with resellers at every level, and secure contract presence with large users of work footwear.  You will have real autonomy over how you run the territory, and real accountability for the results.

This is a field role in the fullest sense. Most of your time will be spent with customers covering a broad territory across South-East Queensland, extending west into South-West Queensland and north to the Sunshine Coast which means extensive travel across QLD, including periodic time away from home.

Day to day you will:

  • Deliver sales and budget outcomes for the territory
  • Represent the brand with retail and industrial customers, keeping Blundstone’s merchandising and point-of-sale presence sharp
  • Lead new product sell-in and bring national campaigns to life locally
  • Be the go-to product expert for resellers who need technical support to sell the range
  • Recommend customer pricing within Blundstone’s discount and rebate framework
  • Keep the business informed on customer satisfaction, market trends, and competitor activity
  • Contribute to sales team projects and business improvement initiatives

About you

You have run a territory before, or you are ready to. You plan your own weeks, and you build relationships that outlast the next order. You will bring:

  • Demonstrated sales experience, ideally in footwear, workwear, retail, or an allied industry
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, equally at home on the shop floor and across the boardroom table
  • Confident presentation and merchandising skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills, including data input, interpretation and analysis skills across Excel and Power BI (desirable).
  • Genuine interest in our products and the people and industries that rely on them
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively

What we offer

  • One of Australia’s most recognised brands, with more than 150 years of heritage behind every conversation you have
  • A home-based role with a fully maintained company vehicle, phone and laptop
  • A competitive remuneration and bonus package
  • A supportive national sales team and ongoing product and sales training
  • An individual learning and development plan
  • Access to our Health and Wellbeing program, including EAP, flu vaccinations, skin checks, information sessions and more.
