About the Job

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Pricing Analyst to join the team on a full-time basis in our Sydney Office! In your day to day, you will:

  •  Implement and maintain rating algorithms across Blue Zebra products and distribution channels.
  • Develop, review, and maintain SQL code and Python scripts supporting pricing, rating and data processes.
  • Execute pricing and rate changes through Blue Zebra’s rating engine and associated systems.
  • Monitor rating outputs and investigate calculation anomalies.
  • Prepare data extracts and analyses to support pricing reviews and portfolio performance assessments.
  • Analyse claims experience, exposure data and market information to support pricing decisions.
  • Ingest and maintain external data sources used in pricing and underwriting processes.
  • Respond to pricing and premium calculation queries from business stakeholders.
  • Support product, technology and distribution initiatives requiring pricing or rating changes.

 

About you

  • Degree qualification in Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Progress towards actuarial qualifications will be highly regarded but is not required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a Pricing Analyst role (preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to manipulate, validate and analyse large datasets.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Python scripts for data preparation, testing, automation or analytical processes.
  • Ability to identify root causes of data, system and calculation issues.
  • Strong testing and quality assurance skills.
