The Opportunity

Black Cat Civil are looking for an experienced Plant Operator / TAE to join our projects teams.

These roles are based in Weipa on a 2/1 roster.

FIFO will be considered from Brisbane or Cairns.

Flilghts, accommodation and food are provided by Black Cat Civil whilst working away on roster.

Key responsibilities include:

TAE will be involved in a diverse range of works including:

• Ensure compliance to site policies and procedures.
• Complete comprehensive daily Supervisor reports.
• Complete all required paperwork for site TAE sign offs
• Mentor and support BCC plant operators as they develop their operating skills

Desired skills & experience:

This opportunity is ideal for any motivated employees wanting to build a long-term career with growing civil contractor. The successful candidate MUST be willing to work in remote locations on various rosters as required.

• Demonstrated experience in Bulk Earthworks, Tailing Dams, and Roads development
• Strong understanding Earthmoving Plant.
• Strong work ethic and leadership skills.
• Competent computer skills, including use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• RII Plant Operating Tickets
• Must hold either the qualifications: TAE40122 Cert IV Training and Assessment or TAE40116 Cert IV Training and Assessment

Experienced civil multi-skilled plant operators who hold the relevant TAE qualification would also be considered for the role
