Description

Ipswich is building, and every new home needs termite protection built in. We’ll train you to install it properly, pay you while you learn, and have you knocking off before 4pm. Already installing termite barriers? Even better.

Why This Job

  • Paid training. A four-week plan with a dedicated Field Trainer, aiming to have you working on your own by week four.
  • Done by 4pm. Start at 6:30am, finish at 3:55pm, with a paid RDO every fortnight.
  • Rain doesn’t cost you a day’s pay. You’re on salary, not a subbie, and we keep working through showers when it’s safe.
  • A ladder you can see: Trainee to Construction Termite Technician to Field Trainer to Field Service Area Supervisor.
  • Steady work. We protect new homes for some of Queensland’s biggest builders, and we’re on track to triple over three years.
  • Company vehicle for work use, phone and uniform kit supplied. Your birthday off, paid.

What Your Day Looks Like

Once you’re signed off, you’ll run your own day across new home sites in Ipswich and its growth suburbs. You’ll check each site is ready, install the termite protection, and do every part of the job the site allows. Then you’ll photograph and record exactly what went in before you leave, because once the slab is poured, nobody sees it again. You’ll deal with site supervisors and other trades every day, so a good manner counts as much as good hands.

It’s physical and it’s outdoors: bending, kneeling and carrying gear across uneven sites, through Queensland heat, dust and showers. If you take pride in work that’s done properly even when no one will ever see it, this is your job.

Who We’re Looking For

  • No termite experience? Good. We’d rather train you our way. Labouring, concreting, landscaping and trade-assistant work all translate well.
  • Already installing termite barriers on new builds? Bring it, and be open to doing it the Bittn way.
  • You turn up when you say you will. Every time.
  • You take pride in work that gets installed, and you follow site safety without being reminded, PPE included.
  • A current open driver’s licence and a White Card, or you’ll get one before you start.
