Description

Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Experience providing support to clients with complex challenging behaviours and a sound understanding of adhering to PBS plans will be advantageous.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide support to individuals in need
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and activities
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and report any changes in an individual’s condition
  • Provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals

Qualifications and attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid NSW driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • All mandatory NDIS checks
