Role Type
Description
Betashares is one of Australia’s leading ETF and investment management businesses, with ambitions to become a leading wealth manager and household name by 2030. The business manages more than $95 billion in assets across a broad range of ETFs, managed accounts and direct investment solutions. Betashares is entering its next phase of growth — scaling its retail platform, deepening customer engagement, and broadening its wealth proposition — and marketing is a critical driver of this growth.
Betashares is seeking an experienced Traffic Manager to own the workflow and operational management of its in-house creative agency (IHA). This role is the operational hub of the studio — managing the flow of work from brief intake through to final delivery, tracking team capacity, resolving resourcing conflicts and continuously improving the way the agency works.
As the IHA scales its output and adopts AI tooling, the Traffic Manager will play a key role in designing workflows that allow the team to produce more — faster and with fewer bottlenecks. A working understanding of AI creative production tools is important: the Traffic Manager needs to be able to schedule and resource AI-assisted work with the same confidence as traditional production.
Key Responsibilities
Brief Intake and Prioritisation
- Manage all brief intake for the In-House Agency — receiving, reviewing and triaging briefs from across the business.
- Assess brief quality and completeness before accepting into the production schedule; push back on incomplete or under-specified briefs.
- Work with the IHA Director and CMO to prioritise the studio production queue against strategic importance, urgency and team capacity.
- Maintain a visible and current view of all active, upcoming and on-hold briefs at all times.
Production Scheduling and Capacity Management
- Build and maintain the studio production schedule across all active projects and team members.
- Track individual and team capacity in real time — identifying overloads, gaps and resourcing risks proactively.
- Flag capacity constraints to the IHA Director and CMO early, with options and recommendations.
- Manage the allocation of work across designers, copywriter, video production and external freelancers.
Workflow and Process Management
- Own and continuously improve the IHA project management and workflow system — Monday.com.
- Design and implement efficient handoff processes between brief, creative development, feedback, legal review and final delivery.
- Ensure all projects have clear milestones, ownership and deadlines visible to the full team and key stakeholders.
- Manage the feedback and revision cycle to minimise unnecessary rounds and protect creative delivery timelines.
Performance and Reporting
- Track and report on studio delivery performance: throughput, turnaround times, on-time delivery rates and brief volumes.
- Identify patterns in delays, rework or capacity issues and recommend structural improvements.
- Support the IHA Director and CMO with data on studio utilisation and output for leadership reporting.
AI Capability and Ways of Working
Betashares is building a marketing function fit for the next era of growth — one where AI is embedded as a standard tool across strategy, execution and measurement. All marketing roles at Betashares are expected to demonstrate genuine curiosity, openness and practical capability with AI tools.
- Develop a working understanding of AI creative production tools so that AI-assisted briefs can be accurately scheduled, resourced and tracked.
- Design and implement workflow adaptations that account for the different production rhythms of AI-assisted versus traditional creative production.
- Identify opportunities to use automation and AI tools within the traffic management function itself — for brief triage, scheduling optimisation and capacity reporting.
- Stay informed on AI tool adoption within the In-House Agency and ensure the production schedule reflects the team’s evolving AI capabilities and workflows.
- Contribute to a culture where AI adoption is operationally supported — ensuring new AI workflows are resourced, scheduled and tracked with the same rigour as all other production activity.
About You
- 5+ years of experience in a traffic management, studio operations or project management role within a creative, agency or in-house studio environment.
- Strong proficiency with project management and workflow tools — Monday.com or equivalent.
- Experience managing creative teams across multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills — able to maintain clarity and calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communicator: comfortable pushing back on stakeholders, managing expectations and escalating issues when necessary.
- Understanding of the creative production process — from brief through to finished asset.
- Experience in a marketing, advertising or design environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI creative production tools — and a genuine willingness to develop deeper working knowledge as the IHA’s AI capability grows.
- Attitudinally open to AI: understands its implications for production planning and resourcing, and is comfortable working in an agency where AI-assisted production is a growing part of the output mix.
