THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Beneco is looking for contracted Rehabilitation Consultants from the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Exercise Physiology disciplines to join our team in Port Macquarie. This is a flexible arrangement suited to practitioners who are embedded in the local community and want to bring their physical rehabilitation expertise to a caseload that makes a genuine difference, on terms that work for them.

As a Beneco contractor, you will manage caseloads across a variety of streams, conducting assessments, developing return-to-work and injury management plans, and maintaining strong relationships with employers, referrers, and treating practitioners.

 

Key focus areas include:

  • Day-to-day management of a caseload with a focus on quality, outcomes, and scheme compliance.
  • Conducting workplace, functional, and other relevant physical AND psychological assessments.
  • Building and sustaining referral relationships within the Port Macquarie and surrounding region.
  • Timely, accurate documentation in line with scheme requirements and Beneco’s clinical standards.
  • Contributing to a collaborative national network, sharing knowledge and upholding the standards Beneco is known for.

 

THE SPECIFICS

 

Location:  Port Macquarie, NSW

Engagement Type:  Independent Contractor (ABN required)

Working Arrangements:Flexible. Self-managed, with client site visits across Port Macquarie and surrounds

Disciplines:  Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology

Rate:  Competitive contractor rate commensurate with experience and discipline

Availability:  As per contractor capacity

 

THE PERSON

 

We are looking for a physically-focused clinician with the independence and initiative to manage a caseload in a regional setting. The right person will bring:

 

Experience

  • A background in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology
  • Demonstrated experience in occupational rehab
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with employers, treating practitioners, and insurers.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach to caseload management and documentation quality.

 

Formal Qualifications

  • Occupational Therapy: current AHPRA registration
  • Physiotherapy: current AHPRA registration
  • Exercise Physiology: current ESSA registration
  • A current, full driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A current Pty Ltd Australian Business Number (ABN).
