Our Company
Ben Furney Flour Mills is Australia’s leading family-owned flour manufacturer and distributor based in regional NSW. Our operation has been established for over 30 years, and our business continues to grow to meet clients’ needs.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
Use of crown counterbalance forklifts.
Picking and packing orders (physical fitness is important).
Administering batch tracking & traceability systems to ensure FIFO.
Loading and unloading of trucks.
CHEP pallet control.
Performing inventory control procedures, including inward goods receiving and stock counts.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimise warehouse space.
Slip sheet loading of shipping containers.
Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
Undertaking GMP activities (cleaning, pest control).
Key Abilities you will need:
An experienced superstar forklift driver (food industry preferred) with a current Forklift & car licence.
Experience in warehousing.
Punctuality, reliability, the ability to work unsupervised and a good work ethic are critical.
Physically fit to manually handle inventory, including 25 kg bags.
The ability to work within a small team.
The ability to be fluid with changing priorities due to customer needs.
Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills.
Must be willing to work shift work – Rotating shifts required, including early mornings (7 am – 3.30pm) and afternoon shifts (3.30 pm-12 am)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehousing, preferably in food manufacturing or distribution
Current forklift licence and food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
