Description

Ben Furney Flour Mills is a well-established Australian food manufacturer with over 100 years of history, built on quality, reliability, safety and strong regional values.

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Flour Blending and Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving safe, efficient and high-quality production outcomes while leading and developing a small team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Leader, you will oversee day-to-day production activities across the Flour Blending and TVP areas, ensuring safety, quality, output and team performance standards are consistently achieved.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production operations across Flour Blending and TVP
  • Lead, coach and support a small team of operators
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, quality and site procedures
  • Monitor workflow, output, downtime and production performance
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate where required
  • Maintain accurate production records and reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote high workplace standards

About You

You will be a practical, hands-on leader with experience in manufacturing, food production or a similar industrial environment.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or similar role
  • Strong leadership skills in a hands-on operational setting
  • Sound understanding of WHS, quality and compliance requirements
  • Ability to solve problems, make decisions and keep production moving
  • Good communication, organisation and team leadership skills  

Desirable

  • Experience in food manufacturing, dry blending, grain, milling or similar processing environments would be an advantage but not essential
  • Forklift licence
  • Experience with production reporting systems
