We are seeking an experienced and values-driven leader with a clinical background to
join our team as Manager – Aged, Chronic Care & Allied Health Services.
About the Role
This role provides both clinical and operational leadership across Belong Blue Mountains
aged care, chronic care and allied health programs. You will be responsible for ensuring services are safe, evidence-based, person-centred and aligned with clinical governance frameworks, funding requirements and professional standards, while also supporting strong operational performance,
workforce capability and sustainable service delivery outcomes.
Working closely with Team Leads and multidisciplinary teams, you will oversee service coordination, strengthen clinical practice, support compliance and quality systems, and ensure programs continue to respond to evolving community need and sector reform.
The role plays a significant part in supporting the organisation through ongoing aged
care reform, including the transition to Support at Home, strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and broader regulatory and funding changes impacting community-based services.
As a senior leader within the organisation, you will be a member of the Belong Blue Mountains Operations Management Committee, which oversees the day-to-day operations of the organisation, including its people and resources, implements the strategic direction approved by the Board, and ensures organisational systems and processes support the organisation’s priorities and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational leadership across aged care, chronic care and allied
health programs.
- Ensure services are delivered in line with clinical governance frameworks, professional standards, funding agreements and organisational quality and safety requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical governance systems, including
oversight of service quality, risk and continuous improvement.
- Manage funding contracts, program budgets and financial performance and reporting
requirements to ensure services operate within approved funding parameters and achieve sustainable outcomes.
- Act as a key contact for funding bodies and contribute to funding sustainability
through grant applications and funding proposals.
- Monitor and interpret sector reforms and funding changes, providing insights and
recommendations to inform service planning and future direction.
- Provide leadership and support to Team Leads and staff, fostering a positive,
accountable and high performing workplace culture.
- Support workforce planning, capability development and team effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, health
providers and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement, integration and growth.
- Contribute to organisational leadership through active participation in the Operations
Management Committee.
- Provide operational and service insights to support Operations Management Committee and
Board oversight.

- You bring a collaborative and solutions-focused approach to leadership and are confident working within complex, government-funded environments. You can balance operational priorities, compliance obligations and service delivery outcomes, while supporting safe, person-centred and evidence-based practice.
- You are recognised for your ability to build productive relationships with staff, community stakeholders, health providers and funding bodies, and for fostering positive and accountable team cultures.
- You will be comfortable leading through sector reform and change, with the ability to contribute to service improvement, operational planning and organisational sustainability initiatives.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience managing programs or services in the community or health sector.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a relevant discipline.
- Understanding of aged care, chronic care and allied health service systems.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience negotiating with government funders and managing contracts.
- Knowledge of the Blue Mountains community and local service environment.
- Current drivers licence and reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
- Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
