About Us

Beerfarm was founded in 2015 on a 1940s dairy farm in Metricup, Margaret River. Once an old dairy farm, we converted the hay shed into a tavern, built a brewery in the roundhouse and created a name for both a destination and a brewery that would serve straight-up beer. Australian-owned and stridently independent, it’s been built on grit, determination and the desire to do better. We are more than just a purveyor of high-quality beer, ginger beer, and cider. Our unique taphouse in Metricup, WA, has become a go-to spot for both locals and travellers, serving ‘paddock to plate’ food experiences, and of course, great beer and good times. Plus, our new, cutting-edge production facility in Perth is a game changer for the brand, as more fans discover our beers, ciders and more! In essence, we are a farm, a brewery, a hospitality venue. About The Role 

Based in our Perth facility, the casual Production Assistant provides hands-on support across all areas of the production site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will help the Production Team keep the brewery clean, safe and running efficiently, getting stuck into a mix of cleaning, cellar, packaging and warehousing tasks.

You will also:

• Keep production and storage areas clean, including floors, walls, the outside of tanks and fermenters, the cool room and outdoor areas;
• Follow CIP procedures for transfer lines, fermentation vessels and bright beer vessels;
• Help with kegging and canning under supervision, and safely move, lift and stack full and empty kegs;
• Support cellar tasks such as yeast offs, dry hopping and yeast handling, and take FV samples and record phys chem data;
• Rotate, prepare and stock brewing raw materials for the next day’s and the following week’s production;
• Help with maintenance on production equipment, keep tools and consumables organised, and report any maintenance or safety issues.

You will also:

• Be comfortable with physical, hands-on work, and open to flexible hours and shift work;
• Have a strong eye for detail, record-keeping and quality, with a good understanding of food and beverage hygiene and safety;
• Ideally have experience in a commercial brewery or beverage production environment, and hold a valid Forklift Licence (desirable, not essential).
