Axil Coffee Roasters is one of Australia’s leading specialty coffee companies, renowned for exceptional coffee, industry-leading quality standards, and a commitment to innovation. Home to the 2022/2025 World Barista Champion, Axil has built a reputation for excellence across cafés, hospitality venues and coffee professionals throughout Australia. We’re seeking an experienced Wholesale BDM to drive growth across the Gold Coast/Brisbane and surrounding regions. This role is ideal for a proven performer with an established industry network, a passion for specialty coffee, and a history of delivering exceptional sales results. This is not an entry-level sales role. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new wholesale business acquisition across the Gold Coast/Brisbane and surrounding regions
  •  Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship development
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasting and opportunity management within HubSpot CRM
  • Manage and grow existing wholesale partnerships while identifying opportunities for expansion
  • Present Axil’s coffee, equipment and training solutions to prospective customers
  • Develop strategic account plans for key customers and prospects
  • Work closely with operations, customer support and coffee education teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Represent Axil Coffee Roasters at industry events, trade shows and coffee competitions

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a specialty coffee wholesale sales role
  • Demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Proven ability to win new business and build long-term commercial partnerships
  • Established network of café owners, hospitality operators, multi-site groups and coffee professionals throughout QLD.
  • Strong understanding of specialty coffee, café operations and hospitality business drivers
  • Highly proficient in CRM management, pipeline development and sales forecasting (HubSpot experience highly regarded)
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Self-motivated, organised and comfortable managing a sales territory independently
  • Passionate about specialty coffee and hospitality
  • Current driver’s licence
