Av-Comm Space & Defence (Av-Comm), is the longest-standing privately-owned Satellite Communications company in the Southern Hemisphere. We deliver end-to-end solutions encompassing project, and program management capabilities from feasibility studies, land acquisition, design and manufacturing, logistics, installation, integration, commissioning, and long-term sustainment of the system. Av-Comm has extensive experience installing and maintaining communications infrastructure particularly across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the Americas, Middle East, and Europe. As part of our continued growth, Av-Comm is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Project Management Office to enhance our Project and Program Management capability.
Summary:
The Av-Comm Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of complex satellite communications (SATCOM) programs and/or projects across government, defence, and commercial sectors. This position provides support to Av-Comm’s Project and Program Managers, as well as the PMO Director to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and in alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide concurrent support to multiple projects and programs within the Project Management Office as required to ensure team success
- Support the planning, execution, delivery, and closure of Av-Comm’s projects and programs
- Support all aspects of scope, schedule, budget, risk, issues, and quality across multiple concurrent projects.
- Support the coordination of internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Support and maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for project matters.
- Support compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Arrange meetings, create meeting documentation, and record and release meeting minutes and actions.
Governance, Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain project documentation (plans, registers, reports, RAID logs).
- Produce regular status reports, dashboards, and updates for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with PMO frameworks, methodologies, and governance standards.
- Support audit and quality assurance activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Support the facilitation of meetings with government, defence, and commercial clients to understand requirements and manage expectations, draft and release meeting actions and minutes.
- Engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and partners to align deliverables and timelines.
- Report program status to senior leadership and stakeholders through structured updates and dashboards.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and tools.
- Contribute to lessons learned and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Contribute to lessons learned, post-project reviews, and process improvements.
- Support implementation of quality management processes.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience supporting SATCOM, telecommunications, or infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of satellite communications technologies and systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
- Defence or government sector experience highly regarded.

Security & Eligibility Requirements
