The Australian Medical Council is seeking reliable and professional Exam Marshals to support the delivery of examinations at our purpose-built Test Centre in Naarm/Melbourne.

The role:
As an AMC Exam Marshal, you will help create a welcoming, organised and culturally safe environment for candidates, examiners, simulated patients and other examination personnel. You will work across a range of examination-day functions, from candidate registration and supervision through to room preparation, secure document handling and general operational support. [
Full training will be provided through the AMC Test Centre’s Exam Marshal Program.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Welcome and assist candidates, examiners, simulated patients and other examination personnel;
- Support candidate registration, identity checks and examination-day processes;
- Supervise candidates before, during and after examinations;
- Prepare, reset and pack down examination rooms, equipment and materials;
- Handle examination documentation securely and maintain confidentiality;
- Monitor examination activities and escalate issues when required;
- Help maintain clean, organised and appropriately stocked examination areas;
- Work flexibly across different marshal functions to support smooth examination delivery;
- Contribute to a respectful, inclusive and culturally safe examination environment.

Eligibility Criteria
Prior to submitting an expression of interest, we ask that the following criteria be acknowledged and understood
- Must reside in Melbourne and be available to attend shifts on-site at the AMC Test Centre
- Be able to provide reliable availability on a fortnightly basis
- Be available and willing to work full-day shifts from 7am – 5.30pm.
- Be available to attend the mandatory training session scheduled in November 2026
- Declare no affiliation with an AMC bridging course or any ongoing coaching/mentoring of International Medical Graduates (IMGs)
- Declare that you are NOT an active/current AMC candidate
You must also be willing and able to undertake the physical and operational requirements of examination delivery and work outside standard business hours, including mornings, evenings and some weekends.
