ACE Group are looking for an experienced HSEQ Manager to join our team at our Canning Vale operations.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an HSEQ professional with genuine heavy fabrication, engineering workshop or OEM machinery experience who understands the risks involved in a busy operational environment.
Ideally, you’ll have experience working around welding and hot works, grinding, cranes and lifting, plasma/laser cutting and heavy workshop machinery, along with a strong background in setting up, implementing and improving practical HSEQ and safety systems.
The Role
· Managing and continuously improving the organisation’s HSEQ systems and processes
· Managing ISO compliance, internal audits and external certification audits
· Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, regulatory requirements and internal standards
· Managing risk assessments, workplace inspections, incidents and corrective actions
· Owning workers’ compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes
· Monitoring and reporting on Safety and Quality performance, trends and emerging risks
· Driving practical HSEQ improvements across operational areas
· Providing HSEQ advice and reporting to the COO and management team
About You
· Demonstrated experience in a senior HSEQ, WHS, OHS, Safety or HSEQ management role, along with relevant tertiary qualifications.
· 5+ years’ HSEQ experience – ideally, you’ll have experience working around hot works (welding, grinding etc.), cranes and lifting, plasma/laser cutting and heavy workshop machinery.
· Strong knowledge of Australian WHS/OHS legislation
· Workers’ compensation and return-to-work experience
· Experience with Integrated Management Systems and ISO compliance
· Internal and external audit experience
· Strong incident investigation, risk and corrective action experience
· A practical, hands-on approach and confidence working across all levels of a business
· Current driver’s licence
