Description

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Completion Technicians to join our team on major wind farm construction project. This role is ideal for candidates who have worked as part of a Mechanical Completion Crew (MCC) and have hands-on experience managing completion activities through to commissioning and handover.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in ensuring wind turbine systems and supporting infrastructure are completed, inspected, documented, and handed over in accordance with project requirements.

Working closely with construction, quality and commissioning teams, you will be responsible for tracking completion status, managing punch lists, conducting inspections, and supporting the successful transition from construction to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

    Adjust and align mechanical components such gearbox’s and generators, confirming measurements using laser alignment tools, documenting measurements, and making practical adjustments (shims, packers, push tools) to achieve OEM tolerances

  • Complete inspections and mechanical punch-list items
  • Identify and rectify defects during the completion phase
  • Verify mechanical systems are installed correctly and ready for commissioning
  • Support turbine commissioning and handover activities
  • Complete quality documentation and completion records
  • Work closely with construction, commissioning, and quality teams to achieve project milestones
  • Maintain a strong commitment to site safety and quality standards

 

 About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience working within a Mechanical Completion Crew (MCC) on a wind farm project
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools
  • Experience managing punch lists, inspections, and quality documentation
  • Familiarity with completions management systems and turnover packages
  • Strong attention to detail and document control skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and achieving project deadlines

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated wind farm project experience
  • Previous Mechanical Completions experience
  • White Card
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Strong computer and reporting skills
  • Ability to work on remote project sites and rostered schedules

  • 3weeks on/1week off,  Monday to Saturday, 10.5-11hrs per day
