The Opportunity
Aurizn is seeking multiple skilled Cyber Specialists based in Adelaide. We’re looking to engage professionals from Associate through to Senior level to support and lead the delivery of cybersecurity, compliance, governance, and risk activities across the Australian Defence environment.
These roles are responsible for leading and/or supporting the delivery of complex cyber security, assurance, and accreditation activities within Australian Government and Defence environments.
Duties will vary depending on level and speciality, but may include:
- Providing authoritative technical advice on security architecture, controls, risk treatment, and system
design aligned to Defence and government frameworks.
- Leading and conducting cyber security investigations, including incident-driven and
leadership-directed activities.
- Assessing complex threat profiles and vulnerabilities across ICT systems and devices, recommending effective mitigation strategies.
- Supporting accreditation, certification, and assurance activities through risk assessment and security data analysis.
- Reviewing, evaluating, and improving the integrity and security posture of ICT infrastructure and system designs.
- Communicating complex cyber security risks and strategies clearly to senior stakeholders and technical authorities.
- Contributing to leadership, mentoring, and capability development within cyber security teams.
What We Are Seeking
- Active NV1 or NV2 clearance, or ability to obtain a NV2 clearance.
- Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, IT, Engineering, or equivalent advanced technical experience.
- Extensive experience delivering cybersecurity, assurance, risk, and accreditation activities within Defence, consistently ensuring compliance with required standards.
- Strong technical judgement across ICT systems, vulnerabilities, threats, and control effectiveness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
