Description

Mine Geologist | FIFO 8:6 | Owner-Operated Gold Mine

Not just another geology job. Build something that matters.

If you’re ready to move beyond being just another number, this is your chance to make a real impact.

At Aurenne, we’re building something different. We’re a privately owned, owner-operated gold mining company where decisions happen quickly, good ideas are heard, and your work directly influences our success.

Located at our Mt Ida Gold Project in Western Australia’s Goldfields, you’ll join a collaborative technical team, work with modern technology, and help shape the future of our operation—all while enjoying a near-new camp, short commute, and a roster that gives you time to enjoy life outside of work.

Why join Aurenne?

We’re not a massive corporate—and that’s exactly the point.

When you join Aurenne, you’re joining a business that’s investing in its people, its operation and its future.

Our benefits include:

  • Permanent, full-time opportunity.
  • Competitive salary package + Short-Term incentive.
  • Access to subsidised private health insurance benefit after probation.
  • Well maintained camp facilities | On site Gym | Short commute from camp to site.
  • Quality meals prepared by our in-house catering team.
  • Salary packaging options for flights, vehicles, airport parking.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Access to corporate discounts through our HR platform.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a key role in maximising ore recovery and supporting mine planning through accurate geological interpretation and grade control. Further to this, you will help to continually refine and improve the forward-looking geological models and positively contribute to the accuracy of mine planning grade and tonnage forecasting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and managing grade control drilling programs.
  • In-pit geological mapping and sampling.
  • Ore spotting, mark-outs and bench mapping.
  • Working alongside Mining and Technical Services to reduce dilution and maximise recovery.
  • Building and refining geological models.
  • Tracking ore movements and maintaining geological databases.
  • Using industry-leading software including Leapfrog, Deswik and acQuire.
  • Contributing ideas that genuinely improve the operation.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) or equivalent.
  • Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Has open pit experience (highly regarded).
  • Enjoys getting out in the pit, not just sitting behind a screen.
  • Is confident using Leapfrog, Deswik and acQuire.
  • Understands QAQC, drilling and sampling practices.
  • Wants to be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration and accountability.

Thinking differently. Operating differently. Rewarding differently.

If you’re looking for a role where your work is valued, your ideas are welcomed, and your career can grow alongside an expanding gold producer, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now and become part of the team shaping the future of Aurenne.
