The Royal
Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for
training, educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa
New Zealand. The College is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC)

About the role | Mō te

Fixed-Term to 24 December 2026 | Full-time | Wellington, NZ
This role supports the development and
delivery of the RANZCP’s New Zealand Te Tupu Whakaritorito | Psychiatry
Interest Forum (NZ PIF) program, which is funded by Health New Zealand |
Te Whatu Ora.
The NZ PIF program aims to strengthen
the psychiatry workforce in Aotearoa New Zealand by delivering targeted,
culturally appropriate initiatives for medical students and doctors who are
considering a career in psychiatry.
A key focus of the program is to
increase the number of New Zealand medical students — including Māori and
Pasifika medical students — as well as resident medical officers and junior
doctors, who seek entry into the RANZCP Fellowship training program.
In this role, you will contribute to
the successful delivery of the program through project and event
coordination, program implementation, reporting, and evaluation. You will
also play an important role in building and maintaining strong relationships
with a broad range of stakeholders, both within the RANZCP and externally.

working closely with the management team and advisory group.
- Coordinate projects, events, and program activities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders,
including medical schools, mental health organisations, and medical student
representative groups and bodies

Experience supporting projects and/or programs, including planning,
coordination, reporting, and evaluation.

Strong communication
skills, both written and verbal.
- Well‑developed organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and building positive relationships
with a range of stakeholders.
- Valid working rights in New Zealand.
